About Our Golden Retriever Irish Setter Puppies
Golden Irish Breed Information
At Golden Ridge Hi-Breds, we specialize in raising the Golden Irish, which is a cross between a Golden Retriever and an Irish Setter. Since this cross is not purebred, our puppies are referred to by different names including Golden Irish puppies, Golden Setter puppies or Irish Retriever puppies. The Irish Setter Golden Retriever mix gives us a hybrid dog with the best of both breeds. This is otherwise known as hybrid vigor. Our parents have all been tested to ensure that they are healthy.
We have been a part of raising this breed for more than 15 years and have concentrated our efforts on this cross to bring healthy Golden Irish puppies from our home in northwestern Indiana to yours!
Puppy Socialization
At Golden Ridge Hi-Breds, our Golden Retriever Irish Setter puppies begin their socialization process at a young age! Socialization plays a key role in shaping a dog’s behavior, temperament, and overall well-being. To give you the best of quality in socialization, we follow the socializing techniques that are taught by Jan Fennell in The Dog Listener.
Our Process
The first step in applying for a puppy would be to fill out our puppy application! Once you have submitted your application, a $500 refundable* deposit will reserve your puppy. Our puppies and waitlist positions are reserved on a first-come first-served basis. On-Site Pick-Up or Shipping
Our family-raised Golden Retriever Irish Setter puppies are conveniently located in Indiana, about halfway between Chicago and Indianapolis. If you are located nearby or prefer to travel here to pick up your puppy, we can arrange on-site pick-up. If you prefer to have your puppy delivered to you, we offer shipping to most major airports and are comfortable sending our puppies to you with pet nannies via pet-carrying airlines. We are willing to arrange to ship your puppy to you if this is your best option.
